Founder, Deborah Price has been a pet maven for most of her life. She has often been observed stopping to talk to random dogs and their parents on the street. Whenever visiting a feline household, Deborah has been known to have a piece of string in her “carpet bag” to magically engage even the most aloof of kitties in a game of chase.
Deborah alias Furry Poppins has also been a pet parent over the past 30 years to a menagerie of adorable felines and loving canines. She began pet sitting and dog walking by offering time to her friends and found that it suited her perfectly as a profession. She marvels in the every day lessons of her charges and delights in sharing a soothing word or cheerful adventure with a large variety of creatures and their parents. Deborah is fortunate to be helped by husband, Joe, another capable and avid animal lover.
When the West Wind blows, Furry Poppins flies away with her umbrella. She spends the rest of her busy time writing scripts, essays, directing plays, performing, making art and props.

Now, that I am working further uptown, I rely on Deborah at Furry Poppins to do our rounds in the West Village. When I get home in the evenings, Gabrielle and Chico seem happy and relaxed.
